The Neuro Psycho Motricity

Our team offers evaluations and treatments for delays or motor disorders in children.

Neuropsychomotricity is a discipline that deals with accompanying and helping the developmental processes of childhood, through interactive proposals that use movement as a privileged channel to integrate mind and body . The psychomotor methodology, based on the knowledge of the operating laws of infantile play, in the balance between content, form and emotion, also aims to help children, with respect to the problematic areas of each, to organize a "good game" in the belief that it and the specific context, at an early age, to face and integrate aspects that have evolved in a disharmonious way.

Through movement and play, the child therefore has a concrete experience of actions and their results, of the relationship with the other and of the different ways of communicating. Psychomotor therapy is also considered in second childhood, and especially in the face of difficult situations, a useful tool for developing a more integrated body image and better personal adaptation .

The Neuro and Psychomotricity Therapist of the developmental age is the health worker who, in possession of the qualifying university diploma, carries out, in collaboration with the multi-professional team, the prevention, therapy and rehabilitation interventions of childhood neuropsychiatric diseases. In particular, neuropsychomotor intervention is useful in the presence of disorders such as:

* psychomotor retardation

* mental delay
* autism spectrum disorders

* motor coordination disorders

* emotional or behavioral disorders with typically psychomotor expression (hyperkinesis, inhibition)

* regulation disturbances
* specific developmental disorders (e.g. dysgraphia)
* early communication, relationship and personality organization disorders.

 The EMPATHIE GROUP offers the following intervention proposals for Neuropsychomotricity:

Through clinical observations and standardized tests, it evaluates the interrelationship between affective functions, cognitive functions and motor functions for each individual disorder. It therefore allows to establish the strengths and weaknesses of the child to draw up the rehabilitation intervention plan.

Neuropsychomotor treatments

On the basis of the evaluation carried out, the objectives are defined and the rehabilitation intervention structured, using specific techniques for the age group and for individual stages of development. Interventions can be individual or group

Treatment for Spectrum Disorders

Based on the results of the assessment, the therapist develops a rehabilitation intervention, with the objectives of developing interpersonal and social skills and communication prerequisites, acquiring play patterns appropriate to the child's age and level of development and enhancing imitative skills.

Activities  group

Small group activity (2-4 children) with a homogeneous level of psychomotor development. They have as their purpose the development of relationship skills with peers, through play and movement.
